At least 9 times out of 10, when a pump “fails,” it’s actually a faulty switch that causes the pump to malfunction. The pump still works correctly, but can’t activate due to a problem with the switch. Pumps with an integrated switch are then forced to be completely removed and replaced.

All Richtech sump pumps are designed with removable switches for this very reason. The Million Cycle Replacement Switch is designed to keep a working pump in action while reducing callbacks. It features an integrated guard to prevent it from getting hung up on the side of the basin, antimicrobial engineered plastic to eliminate algae buildup, and a tapered float top which allows debris to fall away during actuation.

New upgrades to the switch include a longer, fiberglass constructed rod for longer runtime and fewer short cycles, brass fittings at the top and bottom of the rod for consistent and reliable activation, and a flexible, protective rubber boot that prevents debris from affecting the relay components.
